Moldovan students take part in the project “European lessons” funded by Lithuania
In 2015-2016 Modern Didactics Centre from Lithuania together with partners - Educational Centre "Pro Didactica" from Moldova and Association “School-Family-Society” from Georgia are implementing the project "European Lessons".
The aim of the project is strengthening of civil society institutions for inducing their more active involvement in the Eastern Partnership policy-making and implementation and for dissemination of the information about European integration benefits. Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania through Development Cooperation and Democracy Promotion Programme finances the project.
The project targets secondary school pupils and young people by encouraging them to know more about EU values, history, politics; helping to understand and recognize value of democratic countries community for each separate country. Project aim will be reached by following measures: developed and tested optional program “Education for European Integration” for secondary schools of Moldova and Georgia; developed and tested non-formal program and supplementary materials for youth organizations; developed in-service training program for teachers implementing “Education for European Integration” optional program.
The project directly contributes to good governance, introducing and strengthening of democracy principles, assurance of human rights, equal opportunities and education of values that form the basis of life of EU community and all democratic countries. These topics are included in the programs that are developed during the project and discussions during the trainings.
