Lithuanian music will be played in Chisinau
During the winter festivities, until Orthodox Christmas, in the public spaces of Chisinau - parks and squares - works by Lithuanian composers and folk music will play performed by the boys' and youth choir "Ąžuoliukas".
The Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in the Republic of Moldova responded to the request of the Municipality of Chisinau and supported the initiative of the city authorities to create a festive mood safely and taking into account the conditions of the pandemic. The Embassy handed over to the municipality a collection of ten works performed by the choir, including both traditional Lithuanian Christmas carols based on the music of Juozas Naujalis and folk songs arranged with jazz elements. The music performed by Ąžuoliukas will be played together with traditional festive works from other countries and will delight the people of Chisinau, whose ordinary lives, festive events and traditions were severely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic this year.
