Lithuania provides support to Ukrainian students

Lithuanian educational institutions support Ukrainian students fleeing the war.

Vilnius University provides support to Ukrainian citizens wishing to transfer and already studying in Vilnius. Citizens of Ukraine who change the study program during this semester and transfer from higher education institutions of Ukraine will receive a nominal Grand Duchy of Lithuania scholarship of EUR 200 per month.

In 2020, Vytautas Magnus University set up a support fund for students affected by the repression of the government in Belarus and is now supporting students affected by Russia's military aggression in Ukraine. Ukrainian students studying at Vytautas Magnus University are provided with scholarships which cover the costs of their studies and accommodation. If necessary, these funds can also be used for students' subsistence needs.

Vilnius Business College, together with the Marius Jakulis Jason Foundation, has established a joint scholarship fund of EUR 150,000 for Ukrainians fleeing the war to continue their studies at Vilnius Business College free of charge. Scholarships will also be available to new students applying for studies in the new academic year.
