EUROPE DAY IN COMRAT

On May 19 the Embassy of Lithuania took part in the Europe Day celebration in Comrat, the capital of Gagauzia.

Just like a week ago in Chisinau, the tent of Lithuania was set up on the main Square in the center of Comrat. The residents of Gagauzia's Capital could learn more about Lithuania, its culture and history. They had a chance to take part in a quiz about Lithuania. The winners of the quiz were awarded symbolic prizes and souvenirs from Lithuania. The representative of LCC Intrenational University based in Klaipėda presented the study and education opportunities in Lithuania.

Europe Day is organized by the EU Delegation to Moldova and the Chisinau and Comrat Municipalities. The event is an occasion to appreciate different cultures while at the same time to celebrate common values and common identity as Europeans.
