EMBASSY TOOKS PART IN THE FESTIVITIES OF EUROPE DAY IN CHISINAU
On May 12 the Embassy of Lithuania took part in the Europe Day celebration in Moldova.
The tent of Lithuania was set up on the Great National Assembly Square where the residents of Chisinau could learn more about Lithuania, its culture and history. They had a chance to learn the basics of the Lithuanian language, to talk to Lithuanian diplomats, and to take part in a quiz about Lithuania. The winners of the quiz were awarded symbolic prizes and souvenirs from Lithuania. The representative of LCC University based in Klaipėda presented the study and education opportunities in Lithuania.
The Embassy of Lithuania will also participate in the Europe Day celebration in Comrat on May 19.
Europe Day is organized by the EU Delegation to Moldova and the Chisinau and Comrat Municipalities. The event is an occasion to appreciate different cultures while at the same time to celebrate common values and common identity as Europeans.
