EMBASSY TOOK PART AT THE ACTIVITIES OF EUROPE DAY IN MOLDOVA
On May 15 the Embassy of Lithuania participated in the Europe Day celebration in Moldova. The tent of Lithuania was set up on the Great National Assembly Square where the residents of Moldova could learn more about Lithuania and its culture and history. They had a chance to learn Lithuanian language, talk to Lithuanian diplomats, and take part in a quiz about Lithuania. The winners of the quiz were awarded symbolic prizes and souvenirs from Lithuania.
On May 13 Ambassador of Lithuania Violeta Motulaitė delivered a lecture about Lithuania to the students of the Academy of Public Administration of the President as a part of the activieties dedicated to Europe Day.The representatives of Mykolas Romeris University based in Vilnius presented the study and education opportunities during their visit on May 13-15 in Chisinau.
Europe Day was organized by the EU Delegation to Moldova and the Chisinau Municipality. The event is an occasion to appreciate different cultures while at the same time to celebrate common values and common identity as Europeans.
