Covid-19 Vaccine Donation for Moldova

On August 11, another batch of 26,500 doses of AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria) vaccine has arrived in Chisinau and is to be distributed proportionally in the more than 500 vaccination points in the country. The batch of vaccine was provided free of charge by Lithuania through the European Union Civil Protection Mechanism.

"Lithuania has allocated 200 thousand doses of vaccine against Covid-19 for the Eastern Partnership countries, of which 26.5 thousand doses of vaccine for the Republic of Moldova. It is not only a form of assistance for neighboring countries, but also an act of solidarity against the background of an epidemiological threat caused by COVID-19. Lithuania has always helped the Republic of Moldova and is ready to provide support in the future," said Lithuania's Ambassador to Moldova Kęstutis Kudzmanas.
