Concert "Music and Colors: Čiurlionis" on September 22, 2025 in Chisinau

We invite you to the concert "Music and Colors: Čiurlionis" organized on the occasion of the 150th jubilee of Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis, which will take place on September 22, 2025 at the Chisinau Organ Hall.

On September 22, 2025, the Chisinau Organ Hall will host the concert "Music and Colors: Čiurlionis", organized on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of Mikalojus Constantin Čiurlionis.

 

M. K. Čiurlionis' artistic versatility, innovation and cultural impact, especially his visionary music and symbolist painting, will be reflected in a unique multisensory experience.

The concert will consist of two parts. First, a piano recital will appear on stage, performed by soloist Daria Chiselița. Later, the National Youth Orchestra of Moldova will join her, enhancing the experience with a symphonic program, presented for the first time in the Republic of Moldova. Projections and color games will take place throughout the concert, and in the foyer the audience will be greeted by an exhibition with copies of Čiurlionis' most important paintings, which will transform music into a visual universe.

The concert program will feature the most famous works of the Lithuanian composer, as well as works by famous composers who inspired him – Dvořák, Debussy, Sibelius, and especially Chopin.

Concert duration: ≈ ​​​​70 min.

The event is organized by the National Youth Orchestra of Moldova in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in the Republic of Moldova. The 150th jubilee of M. K. Čiurlionis has been declared a UNESCO commemorative anniversary.
