Balti University library gets books donated by Lithuania
On December 17, the Lithuanian Embassy handed over a consignment of books to Alecu Russo Balti State University. Donated books on European integration, security, international politics, European and world history, modern economics will enter the university library and expand the collection of contemporary non-fiction literature available to university students. The collection of publications is based on the needs of the university and all books are published in Romanian.
A remote meeting was held during the handover of the books, which was attended by the Vice-Rector of the University dr. Valentina Prițcan, Head of the NATO Information and Documentation Center (IDC) in Chisinau, Elena Marzac, Ambassador Kęstutis Kudzmanas, and other representatives of the University. The conversation emphasized the importance of international cooperation in developing students' worldviews and providing objective information that introduces them to the realities of the modern world. The interlocutors agreed to continue cooperation in the future and to find effective and safe ways to operate in a pandemic environment.
This project was implemented by the Lithuanian Embassy in the capacity of the NATO Contact Point Embassy in Moldova and in cooperation with the NATO IDC in Chisinau.
