BALTI UNIVERSITY HOSTS NATO INFORMATION POINT

On March 11 Ambassador of Lithuania Violeta Motulaite and Rector of the Balti State University Gheorghe Popa opened the NATO Information Point at the University's Library.
NATO Information Point is a joint project implemented by the Embassy of Lithuania, which is currently perfoming NATO Contact Point Embassy's functions in Moldova, The Balti State University and the NATO Information and Documentation Centre in Chisinau.
The goal of the project is to create more opportunities for students and residents of Balti to know about NATO, Euro-Atlantic principles, Moldova-NATO relations and other security related issues.
Officials from Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Ministry of Defence of Moldova as well as officials from Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, representatives of NGOs, experts were present at the inauguration ceremony, which was followed by the discussion with the students.
