Ambassador Kęstutis Kudzmanas met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova
On August 11, Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania to the Republic of Moldova, Kęstutis Kudzmanas, completing his mission in the country, met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, Natalia Gavrilița. The Ambassador congratulated the Head of Government on the occasion of granting to Moldova the European Union candidate status and expressed Lithuania's determination to continue supporting Moldova's reforms on its European path.
The meeting discussed cooperation between Moldova and Lithuania in European integration, law reform, public service development, environment, food safety, banking and other significant areas, where Lithuanian experts transfer experience by participating in development cooperation, EU Twinning and other projects. The interlocutors mentioned many high-level visits that took place recently, which significantly contributed to the development of bilateral relations and reflected Lithuania's support for Moldova in a difficult period.
The Prime Minister of Moldova, Natalia Gavrilița, thanked the Government of Lithuania for the financial assistance of 750 thousand euros intended for managing the flow of refugees from Ukraine, as well as for the efforts to relocate 2,000 refugees from Moldova.
