Lithuania’s Foreign Minister congratulates Georgia on its Independence Day

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius congratulated the Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani on his country’s Independence Day. On 26 May, Georgia marks the 102nd anniversary of the establishment of the first Democratic Republic.
“Lithuania remains a strong supporter of Georgia’s independence, territorial integrity, and European choice,” L. Linkevičius wrote in his letter of congratulations.
Lithuania’s Foreign Minister highlighted Georgia’s success in implementing reforms necessary for the country’s integration into European Union and Euro-Atlantic structures, and wished to maintain the progress by holding democratic parliamentary elections in the autumn.
